My doula practice centers community and future-building. In what ways can we reimagine family structures, access to information and knowledge, and being in community with one another, outside of oppressive structures? I am passionate about providing consent-focused, informative care to all bodies, which comes from my own experiences with queerness and bodily autonomy. I strive to provide all clients from all walks of life the informative, empowering care they deserve.
I was diagnosed with vaginismus, a pelvic floor disorder, at the age of eighteen. In my quest to find information and treatment options, I was met with a significant lack of knowledge and consent-informed care by various providers, leaving me with feelings of shame, inadequacy, frustration, and isolation. My doula practice is also informed by these experiences.
I have experience working with twins and children with special needs, and I have a special interest in serving families who are queer-identified, polyamorous, or other forms of family-building.
Aside from the doula space, I also work as a professional matchmaker with Tawkify and sing and play guitar in a band called girlfriend on the moon. I have been a vegetarian for thirteen years, and I am interested in holistic modalities of healing. In my free time, I can be found writing poetry, playing guitar, and solo traveling (I have been to twenty-three countries and nineteen states!).
